Terms of service
These terms cover your use of ShapesIn3D. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

The service
ShapesIn3D is a public site at shapesin3d.com. Each calculator shows a solid and the volume and surface area from the measurements you enter. Using it is free and does not require an account. Pages can be added, edited, or removed at any time.
Learning, not advice
The writing and the calculators explain a solid in ordinary language. They are not an engineering certificate, a survey, or a manufacturing specification. Check a qualified person before you rely on a figure for building or making a part.
A solid on a page can be simplified. A right cylinder, a right cone, and an isosceles prism are the shapes the formulas describe, and a real part can differ from them.
The pages
The text, drawings, and calculators on this site belong to ShapesIn3D unless a page says otherwise. You may read them in your browser and you may link to a page.
You may quote a short passage if you link back to the page it came from. You may not copy a page into another product, republish it as your own, or collect the catalog to build a competing set of pages.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the site, attempt to break into the admin pages, probe for passwords, or send enough traffic that other people cannot read. Do not use the calculators or the writing to misrepresent ShapesIn3D.
Other services
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. The shape calculators do not load a video player. A page added from the admin may load a video player from YouTube. Those services have their own terms, including YouTube’s terms. If a visit counter is switched on, that service’s terms apply to the counter. What those services receive is described in the privacy policy.
Availability
The site is offered as it is and as it is available. A page can be incomplete, a model can fail to load in some browsers, and the site can be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside its control. There is no promise that a page will stay online or stay unchanged.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, ShapesIn3D is not liable for loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on a figure, or being unable to use a page. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
These terms can be updated by publishing a new version on this page. The date at the top is the latest version. Using the site after that date means you accept the updated terms. The site does not publish a postal address or a public email address.
